E ach year since 1994, SARM set up the second stage of Perseide astronomical camp in the high mountain areas of Bucegi Mountains, near Prahova Valley. These include meteor observations of the most exciting shower of the year (Perseids), each year activ between 1-15 August. The New Moon and the Eclipse on 11 August 1999 make Perseide meteor shower another gorgeous show of the Sky, in the same period as Total Solar Eclipse! Up from 2200m alt you can count on a naked eye transparency of about 7 magnitudes, a fantastic Milky Way, gorgeous nonstellar objects, wonderfull planets, comets and much more!
